Inspired Day Four

My oldest son, Daniel calls me, every day, on his way to the office to say good morning.  On those rare occasions when he's busy or forgets, I call him. Life is so hectic, for all of us, and those few minutes of time devoted to the people we love are so important.
This leaves me feeling inspired, that no matter where life leads my children, I will always have a special place in their hearts, a place that was not my given right but earned from the love, respect and nurturing I shared with them.

  1. Day four of what inspired me,
Every Sunday we go visit my grandfather who is eighty nine years young. When he see's my son he calls out his name (Enio, because ever since he was a baby he misunderstood his name and called him by that name and I never corrected him) My son adores him, Daniel asks me to give him five dollars so he can give it to his grandfather. The first time he did this I asked him "why do we have to give nonno five dollars?". Daniel replied "so Nonna (my mom) can buy nonno vanilla ice cream and we can eat it together". So everytime my grandfather see's Daniel now he gives him five dollars and in turn we give him vanilla ice-cream. These are the moments that inspire me. MY NONNO NICOLA

  2. I would like to begin by saying that the entries have been a pleasure to read and very touching. Yesterday, i did not know about these special and inspiring moments of your lives and families, today i do. It gives me a look into your past experience, your personal thoughts, that we may not otherwise know of one another. So for today: These stories inspire me....they give me the inspiration to better myself as a mother, daughter, sister and friend. xo

  3. Inspiration at it's best: As I left my daughters this morning after dropping of a can of green tea for my grandaughters lunch, I heard a tiny voice saying "Hi gama". I turned around and saw my daughter with my grandson who had just woken up and he had his blanket in his arms. His two arms reached out toward me. As I lifted him from my daughter and he put his arms around my neck and placed his head on my shoulder. I could feel the warmth from his body and could smell the shampoo and soap from his previous nights bath. I held him for a moment before saying goodbye to leave for work. What a great way to start a day! Being a grandmother is one of the best pleasures in life.
