I made my way through the lively crowd and street side musicians gathered in Campo dei Fiori in Rome.
As I left the hubbub I noticed an unassuming fountain sitting on the outskirts of the piazza; no one paid any attention to it.
I stopped and walked toward it. My sandals were quickly sprayed by water droplets. I looked at the date at the top of the fountain, 1872 and I asked a passing citizen, "Is that the year it was made?"
"Yes, it never stops. Many fountains in Rome have been spraying for hundreds of years." he smiled proudly.
