High in the mountains of Toulon France sits a medieval village that dates back over 1000 years. Today its meandering streets are lined with specialty shops and quaint restaurants.
As you walk around you can hear the faint voices of the past; the mothers calling to their children; the rumbling of the horse drawn carts, and the tolling of the church bell.
The church is nestled on the highest point of the village. The beauty of this holy place lies in its simplicity. The stone alter that sits at the front of the church is not adorned with gold. A few statues are strewn in one corner and a single portrait rests on a wall. If you listen you can hear the fervent prayers of the past.
Breathtaking!
